Transport for communities (TfC) specialise in project development, hands on help and practical advice for community transport and other voluntary organisations and strategic development of Social Needs Transport.

TfC brings together the considerable skills and experience of two main associates, who have collectively nearly fifty years of experience of project development in the voluntary sector.

We are also able to call on the expertise of a number of our associates and working partners.

Much of our work involves finite development support. But we have the experience and expertise to develop and run longer-term projects, such as the award-winning Greater Manchester Communities on the Move project, which ran for four years.

Although we do not describe ourselves as fundraisers, development work that produces no tangible results is clearly a waste of time, so much of our work has culminated in the development and submission of funding applications for our clients.

We have, collectively and individually, raised over £1,000,000 through funding applications developed for our clients.

Clear & unambiguous communication

We will always give a written estimate, setting out the work we will do; along with a clear timetable. We believe that a clear mutual understanding between contractor and client, about what is (and is not) included will avoid many common difficulties.

We are proud of our record of completing projects on time and within budget. Of course, unforeseen issues can occur, which can affect delivery. In such circumstances, we will always discuss these immediately with our client.
